Alton Daycare and Learning Center, doing business as Kreative Kids Learning Center, is a not-for-profit, 501(c)3 Corporation. All donations are tax deductible.
The Center is extremely grateful for the donations from individual donors and corporate sponsors. Kreative Kids Learning Center operates on a fee for service basis with a very small margin between income and expense. Donations and grants provide revenue for everything that is needed beyond basic operating expenses. Donations channeled through the United Way of Greater St. Louis fund one the Center’s scholarship programs. Donations made directly to the Center provide for the purchase of new equipment and materials, improvements to the Center’s facility, scholarships for middle income families with demonstrated need and stabilize the Center’s financial position during periods of instability associated with the Illinois State Child Care subsidy program.
Your donations make Kreative Kids possible!
The Center offers a broad range of volunteer opportunities ranging from classroom experiences to facility improvement projects. Volunteer opportunities can be a situational, one-time event or continue over a period of time such as our participation in the Foster Grandparent Program. Volunteer experiences directly involving children may require the volunteer to complete a health screening with their physician. The Center’s volunteer program has been certified by the United Way of Greater St. Louis. For information on volunteer opportunities please see our Events Calendar or contact Keith Neuber or call 618-467-0630.
The Board uses volunteer advisory committees to facilitate special projects and gain insight or assistance to address issues of importance. Advisory committee membership is generally time-limited and will involve individuals with specifics talents or interests. To learn more about opportunities to serve on an advisory committee contact Ellen Saville.

Reduces reliance on government subsidies by developing a sustainable business model that targets revenue growth and channels more resources more efficiently to the mission.
Strengthen Board structure and dynamics through utilization of advisory/auxiliary Boards and a leadership development program for the Board.
Enhance relationships with donors, volunteers and community supports that will lead to organizational growth and development.
Upgrade the quality of the Center’s facility and strategic location to best serve the children and families in the Riverbend region.
